Genre Pizza!

This semester our teacher, Ms.Hooykaas set us a challenge to read eight different genres in fourteen weeks in total. We had to put a lot of effort into it. But it was still a great load of fun and was a good experience. The genres we had to read were:

  • Mystery-Missing
  • Historical fiction-Al Capone Does My Shirts
  • non-fiction-Flowers
  • biography-Michelle Kwan
  • graphic novel-Red Wall
  • fantasy-Tuesdays At The Castle
  • action/adventure-Ulysses Moore #1: The Door To Time
  • realistic fiction-Ida B.

I completed the challenge around four weeks before the genre pizza party.
To celebrate my class ate as many pizzas as possible. I ate sushi and also one popsicle. My teacher made me eat fruit too. So, I decided to be obedient and just did that.

The genre I enjoyed the most was my biography, Michelle Kwan because it was so interesting.

The genre I did not enjoy was non-fiction, Flowers because it was so boring.

A genre I discovered I liked was graphic novel because it has a lot of pictures but still is fun.

Next semester we are going to do Genre Pie! My advice to myself is to just get the reading over with. This is because you don't have to worry about it. Also it's because you are just one hundred percent sure you'll have a party and get to look forward to it.

  2. I like how you didn't complain that you couldn't have pizza, and you kept positive.
