1st Step
I had to draw out four boxes in my art journal. My objective was to have at least four different and unique ideas. After I have done that, I would choose one of them to use in my final project. I conferenced with Mr. Koltutsky to decide which idea I should use. I ended up choosing the one on the bottom right corner. I was actually very happy with my choice. I thought it was the best idea because it was very creative and fun.
2nd Step
This step's purpose was to choose which media or medias I would like the best to use in my project. The different types of medias are colored pencil, oil pastels, water color, and acrylic paint. There was another choice to use, it was marker. I chose to use marker but I did not experiment with it on this step. I did not only use marker, but I actually used all the medias for my project. Whether I used it just for a little bit or half of my project, I still used all of the medias.
3rd Step
Now I had to make my rough draft. What you basically had to do was make your project. However, it did not have to be perfect and finished. You have to really find out how you want to do your final so you don't mess up. I did experiment with the different medias. As you can see, in the sky and grass I experimented with water color and acrylic paint. I ended up choosing water color for the sky and acrylic paint for the grass.
4th Step
I finally finished the project. As you can see, there is a huge difference between the draft and final. The train is in the center, the grass is blended in well and everything is perfectly finished. I used the light table to trace on to another paper from my draft. Once I finished tracing it on, I colored it in with my different media choices. Finally, I traced the whole project with a permanent marker so it would really stand out.
