Rainbow Lab Observations

Volume is the amount of space an object takes up. Volume of liquids means the amount of space the liquid takes up. You find volume of liquids used a graduated cylinder. The basic unit of measurement for volume of liquid is liters. If there is a small amount, the unit is milliliters. When you read the amount of liquid in the graduated cylinder you read the bottom of the meniscus. A meniscus is basically a bubble like thing at the surface of your liquid. Make sure you figure out all of the sub graduates on the graduated cylinder, because they are not all marked the same!
