P.E. Reflection

This is my favorite quote because it shows how you need to persevere and there is always a solution. I can relate to this because I do a lot of sports and there has been many obstacles but I always fight through it. I would think everyone can relate to this because if you're running the km, doing the pushups test or anything else even in P.E. you must keep on fighting.

'Wellness' to me means you are aware of your health actively and also health wise. You're wellness depends on you and how much you care for your wellness. For example, you push yourself to exercise at least one hour a day or to eat healthy every meal. 

To be healthy, on a daily basis I have force myself to have some type of exercise at least one hour a day. This does not include P.E. If I do not have rugby or soccer I would go to the gym in my apartment and run & stretch. Also, I try my best to always eat healthy. I make sure that almost every meal I have all food groups. However, once in a while I let myself have a few treats. 

I would definitely rate P.E. a big 5! This is not only because I always enjoy myself and look forward to it. I also think this has helped me and so many other people. I know that some kids no not enjoy to exercise but it is very important and P.E. forces you to. Also, I love my P.E. teacher Mrs. Greaney! She always make P.E. very enjoyable. Also physical education teaches you how to play most sports and gives you an idea of what sports you want to try more after school.  

My rating of health would be a 4. This is because I enjoy it most of the time because we learn more about yourself and how to keep healthy. All kids and adults need to know this to keep healthy. I think health class is very important even if it isn't always very fun. However, it usually is!

I probably wouldn't change much about the health class or P.E. program. I really think it awesome that we learn so many sports that gives all kids so many more opportunities to think about trying new sports. Plus, health teaches the kids so much to keep healthy and well. However, in P.E. I would like to change that there should be a gymnastics unit. I think gymnastics is not only fun, but teaches kids a few things that some kids can't imagine doing. It would be so cool to learn fun and simple things! Maybe the P.E. teachers could find a few moves that every kid is capable of. I don't think this unit should be graded! Also, gymnastics gives kids more confidence and belief in themselves. 

I have been very active this year! I have tried out for all the 6th grade girl select teams and made all. Those include, touch rugby, basketball and soccer! I feel like I have become so much more active because of the way S.A.S. middle school organizes the sports. Beside the select teams, I do touch rugby on Sundays and I do another soccer league outside of school. I play in the other soccer league on Thursdays and Saturdays.

I am a good teammate because in every sport I help out anyone that needs help with technique or anything. I usually ask them if they need help if they are not asking because some people refuse to ask.

This year I have shown leadership because even when I am not a captain I help everyone and make sure everyone gets a chance to have some play and the positions they want. I have had the qualities of a good leader because I show compassion of how others feel.

I would say my strongest area of fitness is cardio respiratory endurance because my km time is good and I worked extremely hard for it. It was 3:59! I would say I would really need to work on strength because my pushups score isn't very high. I think this is because I mainly to more of the running sports so this helps with my cardio. 

I think being physically active is very important because it will make you more healthy and being healthy makes you feel so much better. Also, being physically active helps you avoid some cancers, diseases and just sicknesses in general. Being physically active helps you be more collaborative and social as well. This is because team sports force you to talk to each other strategically and even sports that aren't team sports, you are still training together and talking. 

My strengths in eating ‘MyPlate’ is being capable of always eating carbs. However, my weakness is not always eating a perfect 'MyPlate' meal 3 times a day.

My recent 'MyPlate' goal was to eat more vegetables. I have been doing this! In fact, from eating lots of salads I have discovered a lot of new vegetables I love. I want to continue doing this and improve my love for veggies even more.

I have actually been pretty stressed this semester. It is not because of sports or being healthy because I feel like I have been doing a pretty good job with that. I just have been stressed about homework and school work. This is because I have so much going on and I have lots of tests. My first strategy for stress was to actually just study more and made sure I knew what I was doing so I felt more comfortable. My second strategy was to just go for a quite walk by myself while listening to music. I made myself feel more relaxed.
